As one of Think Policy’s pillars, the Solutioning Pillar works alongside government and non-government institutions to design solutions that support actionable policy decisions grounded in evidence, data, and empathy. The Research and Project Lead plays a critical role in ensuring effective project implementation and maintaining high standards of analytical quality in line with stakeholder needs.
In this role, you will be expected to lead project and research implementation, manage teams, develop robust methodological frameworks, translate complex quantitative and qualitative analyses into informative written outputs and key messages, and ensure that all project and research deliverables meet high-quality standards.
We are looking for an experienced public policy professional with at least 5 (five) years of experience implementing public policy-related projects and research. The ideal candidate should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses, and communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including government institutions, development partners, research institutions, businesses, and other relevant parties.
Minimum Master’s degree in Economics, International Development, Public Policy, Public Administration, or another relevant field.
At least 5 (five) years of professional experience in research or consulting projects related to public policy, economics, or other relevant fields.
A solid understanding of Indonesia’s policy landscape, policy reform, and political context.
Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder projects and collaborating with government institutions, development partners, and the business sector.
Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills in both English and Indonesian.
Familiarity with or exposure to issues including, but not limited to, the digital economy, digital infrastructure, and digital government.
Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Stata, or Python.
Understands the process of submitting research ethics applications to relevant institutions.
