Job Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute Bijak's overall social media strategy across platforms.
Handle day-to-day management of social channels, including end to end content execution.
Develop monthly editorial and content plans, including campaign calendars and storytelling frameworks.
Ensure all social media outputs align with Bijak’s mission, brand voice, and political–policy positioning.
Content Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with the Social Media & Design team (writers, designers, video specialists, community officers) on content ideation and execution, ensuring a smooth workflow from brainstorming to publishing.
Take ownership of both strategy and execution of content, with occasional alignment with the design/video team.
Collaborate closely with the Head of Media and Media Pillar Team to maintain consistent messaging and high creative standards.
Oversee performance reviews, workload prioritization, and skill development within the team.
Creative & Content Direction
Lead the ideation and creative direction for short-form video content (especially Reels and TikTok).
Produce short-form video content end to end: ideation, scripting, shooting (including on-cam), editing and publishing.
Guide the creation of multimedia content (carousels, videos, graphics) with a focus on clarity, storytelling, and engagement quality.
Trend Monitoring & Political/Policy Insight
Monitor social media trends and emerging public policy or political issues relevant to Bijak.
Recommend proactive and reactive content opportunities, ensuring the team responds timely, accurately, and effectively.
Provide editorial oversight to ensure accuracy in politically sensitive or policy-related content.
Community Engagement Oversight
Oversee audience engagement strategies across comments, DMs, and community touchpoints.
Ensure social media team follow guidelines aligned with the Head of Media.
Provide escalation support only when needed for sensitive, political, or high-impact conversations.
Job Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in social media management, digital content strategy, or related roles.
Demonstrated experience producing social media content independently without relying on a large team.
Proven ability to produce short-form video content (Reels/TikTok), from ideation and shooting to editing.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, including algorithms, trends, and best practices for driving engagement and account growth.
Strong editorial and content planning skills, with the ability to develop monthly editorial plans, campaign calendars, and clear storytelling angles.
High interest in politics and public policy, with the ability to understand current issues and translate them into accessible and educational content.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to deliver clear briefs and constructive feedback to creative teams.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, especially in responding to real-time, news-driven, or trend-driven moments.
Basic proficiency in creative tools, such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, or other relevant applications.
Comfortable being the on-cam talent for certain content formats.
Able to execute short form content quickly in response to trends and political moments.
Hands-on creator who can ideate, shoot, edit, and publish without heavy support.
