Academy Lead
Academy Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the educational programs and activities are effectively designed and implemented. As a lead, you will manage your team, liaise with key stakeholders, and ensure successful implementation of project under your tribe.. You will have many opportunities to work with other tribes in Think Policy, our direct beneficiaries, as well as other external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Curriculum and Module design
Design and refine educational content and curricula aligned with the Academy Tribe’s strategic objectives.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, internal teams, and external partners to ensure high-quality, contextually relevant learning materials.
Stay up to date on emerging trends and best practices in education, sustainability, public policy, and related fields to inform content development.
Instructional Design
Develop instructional materials, including lesson plans and interactive learning resources tailored to diverse learning styles.
Apply innovative pedagogical methods and leverage digital tools to enhance engagement and knowledge retention.
Continuously assess and improve learning experiences based on participant feedback and evaluation data.
Mentor and Alumni Management
Build and maintain relationships with the Academy’s mentor network.
Strategically assign mentors across Academy initiatives (e.g., Bootcamps, Workshops, and Bijak Initiatives).
Co-design learning and development programs for mentors in collaboration with the Academy team.
Engage alumni to foster a community of continuous learning and shared growth.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)
Work with the PMEL Tribe to develop systems that monitor and evaluate Academy programs.
Analyze data to measure impact and inform program adjustments.
Promote a culture of learning through documentation and dissemination of insights, reflections, and best practices.
People Management
Lead and manage a small team within the Academy Tribe, encouraging a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
Provide coaching and growth opportunities for team members.
Align team performance with Think Policy’s values and mission.
Job Qualifications
Preferably holds a Master’s degree in Education, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Has 5–8 years of professional experience, ideally in the public sector, non-profit, or relevant private sectors.
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and fostering collaboration.
Proven ability to design, lead, or supervise educational programs or learning initiatives—particularly within public or civic contexts.
Strong research and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Committed to continuous learning and growth, with a proactive and adaptive mindset.
